  • Watabou City REVISED (annual 157)

I have decided on another map for the annual sample. I am now able to include alleys and trees in the conversion process, so feel free to add trees and alleys to your generated maps from Watabou.

This is the map I generated from Watabou, including emblem, trees and alleys. It was called Low Rock, which translates to Craig Isel in Welsh, so I am intending to go for a Welsh feel with the names. And the industry will be some sort of iron-working industry, as per the coat of arms.

I have outlined the roads to show them, but in the SVG export, I have unchecked outlines for all except BUILDINGS. I haven't got any fields, so will use Drawtools to add my own.

Here is the result after complete conversion, all using Drawtools, except for the emblem (which I also exported from the generated map).

Here is the sample map so far, using Drawtools only, apart from text.

  • FT3 to CC3+ as per recent Live Mapping Tutorial

Some progress on this map - just goin' with tha flow, folks - very little planned.

Instead of the Caspian Sea, I named it after Caspian's son, Rilian! 😁

  • Myirandios - Hardin Region - Khotrostovy Confederation

Here is the map of the Khotrostovy Confederation - I reused the maps for the Community Atlas of Xenothon and Demydice, and Megalith Isle - yet to be included in the Atlas, but waiting for Remy to get time to put them in (I have asked him to wait till I finish the other islands' map notes, so the delay is my doing). In addition, I have changed the names to a more Slavic feel, and added another mainly wooded elven isle. Another advantage to reusing these maps, is that I already have map notes, which I can expand upon for my own world.

  • [WIP] Community Atlas Competition - Artemisia - Spiros Isle - Aretizo village

The witch's cottage in the south-west. I think I am a bit happier about the forest now.

  • [WIP] Community Atlas Competition - Artemisia - Spiros Isle - Aretizo village

Slow progress. Here is the village as a whole to date, and the west quarter - Grimy Street, with the heretic (who is on the execution wheel) house which has been burned to the ground by orders of the kind gentle merciful Monks of Holy Spiros. (so glad nothing like this happens here in real earth).

  • [WIP] Tatilana, a new world

Tatiana and I have decided to collaborate on creating a new world, using this map I have created using FT3. (just got to get it into Wilbur and back again).

It is named Tatilana after Tatiana, and our adopted daughter, Ruslana.

We aim to produce many regional maps, and also details of cultures, physical characteristics, histories and also adventures, to turn into a Game Aid for Roleplaying games, hopefully to publish, with illustrations done by Tatiana (who is very artistic).

Here is the final FT3 map to be 'Wilburized'. I have added lakes, but they are not on the MDR. As you can see it readily divides itself into East and West continents.

I am not going to bother with tectonics - just assume they are appropriate for the geological formations as is. There will be a 'Ring of Fire', earthquake zones, as well as wind and ocean current details, so I can work out the biomes. I hope our resident experts can guide me with this after I post the first maps showing them.

  • [WIP] Tatilana, a new world

I have made a start on the focus area which Tatiana has chosen. An Andean type range, I see. Obviously some contour alteration will take place, to fit the rivers that were generated in FT3. Each grid square is 500 km.

We will have fun working out the histories and cultures - to be shown in map form as well, of course.

  • Trinajarnia

This is a revision of a continent in a previous world I started. I think this will be my main project. The main land mass is about 25% bigger than Australia, and extends from the arctic north to the tropics. And has all biomes represented.

I have already started on smaller areas.

All the names mean something in English, but I have used various languages (via Google Translate) to represent the various ethnic groups, eg Ukrainian for Kratirim, Icelandic for Vynlings, Georgian for Dwarves, Hungarian for orcs, Persian for reptilians, Irish for Elves, Italian for Norvians, Swahili for Swabentu and Maori or Yamatji for Dingadau.

All the 'civilized' nations are marked in with their capital cities.

A larger version is in the Gallery.

  • Hardin region of Myirandios

Here is a small addition to the map, detailed - the Lineala Islands - only 1 is inhabited by humans. One contains a interdimensional Rift, another has an elven settlement.

  • Ukadarlia

The Aeifa - 'elves' of Ukadarlia. These really are just a human variant, though more so than the other human ethnic groups. They have purple eyes, and can see into the UV range; they nearly always have red hair; and are very tall and very thin. They have extended life spans up to 300 years, due to biochemical changes that slow aging.
