after at least 2.5 months of fighting with various templates to create this map I eventually settled on Isomeric Town for the buildings and Mike Schley's Overland maps for pretty much all vegetation apart from the fields (Fantasy Town tends to be my 'Go To').

I've switched template now and I have a question for you. Have I crowded the buildings too much? I'm unconvinced on either Yes or No.

I'm deliberately doing the roads last, by the way.

Yes I did - and the height and depth technique Ralf showed off a few weeks ago. If you zoom in very tightly you'll see I've overlaid the dark contours randomly so it shows the tunnels going up and down almost at the same time. I blurred the overlapping edges to maintain the effect. You'd never believe it but this is my first ever dungeon, would you? 😃
