@Royal Scribe for the glow behind the volcano I created two sheets for use with planet symbols and used two planet images one in each sheet (to emit a round glow).

A planet with an orange outter glow with more blur and Another planet with the red outter glow with less blur (smaller radius sphere). The only mike schley isometric symbols are the market stalls, the statue and the rowboats near the bridge, all others are from overland.

The green and brown color palette is beautiful. The stones "look very clean" to me.

Maybe also add a very glow/radioactive green option on water (as well as smoke effect) to indicate severe poison/contaminated area.

Pipes Png ejecting water and without ejecting water (in diferent colors also) will be amazing <3

I also suffered a lot in this aesthetic aspect until i start to do something acceptable .

This tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8Fvz98lJ7Q&t=524s helped me a lot to practice this. Once you have mastered the "operation" of tracing, you can superimpose any image, and at that moment I used images from google maps for reference... and I still use it... a lot!
