Corkboard (CA 2013)
I saw someone use a Cork board like this in a Roll20 CoC Scenario. They stuck a city map pn it ..somehow had the pins as separate tokens so they could stick pin in where they were going in the city for example. They also stuck graphics which where the handouts into the GM section of the corkboard and would reveal as they found them. So it became more or less an interactive thing instead of a static murder board type of view.

1920s Town
Once I create some things that look halfway good I will post them. And honestly what is important is do the maps in things help your players visualize what your trying to imagine. How historically accurate I think is secondary. :-) I did create this overland journey map but it needs a lot of work to be good.
However, it still will work as a visual prop in the game.
I need to find something better to use for the trail and take my time moving the panes etc so they line up. + The map could use a few text labels as what you see in the background is a bitmap of 1920 world map. Due to size etc I am starting to think what I need to do is connect the circular graphic to the trail via a different line and put the text label there it make more room.

My First Map - Cthulhu Caves
When I am done will post them. Making a couple of maps using this trick. The first is one using Modern Journey where I dropped a partial map of 1920's earth in the background. And the other more involved one, that I might need to start over on, is 1923 Western South Dakota Map that I am using to get landmarks etc correct and will eventually hide it or delete it from the file. A big thanks for all the help and hopefully as I get better I will be able to give back to the community.
