  • Bridgetown - An SS6 experiment.

Thank you both for the encouragement. It's starting to take shape... 🙂

Still making up my mind about what I exactly want in the Northern part - it will most likely only be a partial city.

I'm finally getting more comfortable with the "Bring in Front of" and "Send Behind" - commands. Both help a lot when I add symbols out of the most efficient "from back to front" - order.

  • Bridgetown - An SS6 experiment.

This is my mostly successful attempt to create Venice- (or Amsterdam, or Bruges-) like canals in SS6.

I may have created the whole map a bit too large.. 🤗

Might at least finish the West - will see.

A larger version of the finished eastern city is in my gallery.

  • Issues with Inked Ruins Style: Hatching "Texture" Size and Water Rendering

    Dear fellow forumites:

I'm working on a map in the new Inked Ruins style, but I'm facing two issues:

When I try to use the terrain fills (on Metric) and Wall drawing tools, the size of the fill items is about 3 times too large. Walls are also far too thick. I've worked around the issue by creating another map in the same style with 3 times the size, in which I create trace the terrain fills. Then I copy them back into the original map, which is a bit cumbersome. Could this be an issue with the scaling of the "metric" style?

Drawing bodies of water that touch the map edge creates render issues. Samples:

Central river rendered as one body of water: See the vertical lines touching the river.

Second attempt: Central river deleted and rendered as two separate bodes of water, with the "gap" inbetween hidden under the bridge:

What can I do to solve these problems? If it helps, I can provide the FCW file.

  • Galangar - The City of Gold and Red

    Final Update:

A mountain to fill the blank piece of sky and some small detail bits for the streets.

Large version is in my gallery. Have a great weekend! :)

  • Galangar - The City of Gold and Red

Thanks to both of you. I just noticed I don't have the Alyssa Faden Annual.

I've also noticed I had missed something very obvious: Mike Schley Overland has clouds... 🤗

I've also applied a very light gray transparent layer over the montains and "trees supposed to be farther away".

I'll take another look after I've slept. If I don't find anything else to improve, I'll upload the large version.
