  • WIP: Nargothrond: Really need advice, please

    Hey all,

Well, working on a large map: 4000 x 1600 feet of Nargothrond. It's an Elvish Kingdom carved into a rock hill. Hoping for advice on every aspect.

1: this is the uppermost level of the city.

2: I want to run streams thru it at various points

    3: need a key somewhere

4: I'm thinking not to show in furniture or other items

5: need to add pillars and columns

    etc.

Really would appreciate any and all advice.

    thanks

    Sue,

I have to tell you this much: if it weren't for your work on this program, I'd have given it up long before now. That is not to say I don't appreciate the work Ralf, Remy and Mr. J and many others have done. I really appreciate all their artistry. But you have opened up so much more versatility in CC3+. I cannot thank you enough.

  • Trying to salvage a very old map....

Latest version, however, stands in violation of my old typographer Instructor's dictates:

No MORE than 2 fonts/typefaces per design; choose 1 serif and 1 sans-serif font/type only!

What he doesn't know won't hurt him muhahahha

Really nice map! I love the style and your design.....

but one thing is bugging me:

    the A in Southern Sea.

Could you line it up with the S E? You could explode/ungroup the text and move it independently. Or, if you like it as is, just ignore my OCDness

  • Where are bitmaps 'CA51' please

    Greets,

    I'd better explain better

when I attempted to load in more bitmaps to a map, I searched for any CA51 fills in the folders and I couldn't find them.

I just inserted a map with them included and all is well; I just thought it was strange, is all.

    thanks

I must say, this map is one of the weirdest maps I have ever seen or had to draw/replicate. The continents are only partially shown, but they have bizarre shapes. I suppose it could be because of the ancient war of the Powers. shrug

Oh, and of course, I've altered them as I saw fit. heh

  • Strange Artifacts

    Hey all,

After using watabou and working on labelling my city map, lines are appearing in my number labels:

I've tested this with outer glow and glow; I've hidden everything above TEXT 5. Weird thing is, sometimes, when I magnify to just a number, the lines vanish, other times, they remain. And they do show in every render I've made. The buildings are on buildings low, some on building high.

    Any ideas?

    Cal
