  • making dungeon hall and cave seamless

Have you tried moving the end node of the cave wall section, and while moving it using F9 to snap to the closest node/point on the corridor end?

Or, if you have any experience with the trim tools in the Edit menu, you could try hiding all but the wall sheet(s) and use the tools to trim the ends to each other. Instructions are given in the command line depending on which tool you use.

  • Numbering/Labeling Conventions thread

I was taught (several decades ago now) that you numbered the municipal buildings and churches first, then the features of interest like parks and historic sites and finally the local landmarks - waterfalls, etc. However, given the same map two different cartographers would probably number it quite differently according to their personal opinion on which of the features or which of those groups is more important than the others. So in the end it boils down to what Wyvern said:

As long as your labelling is clear and unambiguous, and makes sense to you, I'm not sure anything beyond that is altogether important.

Yes, Remy has resolved that in the last couple of minutes. I've just created an album and uploaded an image.

    My goodness!

What a lot of interesting information. And after all that I'm not even sure if I will have time to do any of these extra things, but we shall see.

  • Project Spectrum - Part 2

    Thank you, Mike :)

The app is free, but relatively primitive. "It's really heavy to steer." As my dad used to say of the Ford Zephyr we had. For you young-uns, that's the same type of car used as cop cars and smashed up in their hundreds in the Blue's Brother's film.

  • Changing Palettes

You can get the default palette back again by clicking the colour swatch on the properties bar at the top, and then clicking the "Use Default PAL" button.

Remy Monsen covers palette management in some detail in this blog article here:

Details on how to save and reload palettes are near the end of the article.

I meant it the first way - a great base map to start developing the rest of your campaign in a series of larger scale maps :)

I wouldn't think that a waterfall would be visible on a map at this scale. That would really be for one of the larger scale regional maps.

  • Turn off shading?

The cliffs have map files, which are set quite dark to simulate vertical faces.

The problem here is that I designed them originally for a much darker style than Cities of Schley, and never tested them with that style.

There are more cliffs to come in the bonus issue, so I could try to do something about it there.
