Precise angles
Yes there is. You can specify the angle of a line by using keyboard inputs to position subsequent nodes following the first one.
But if all you want is 45 degrees then use the snap grid. It's a lot faster than all that typing. A line that crosses the same number of horizontal grid squares as vertical ones is always 45 degrees.

Yes. That's what I was saying. I've noticed several times before now that if something is quite small, or in this case thin, shadow effects don't always work as expected.
I tried little tiny people for the new city style, but I gave up because it was impossible to get them to cast nice shadows where they were so tiny.
