You can limit the extent of the grid by adding a Color Key effect on the GRID sheet and drawing a polygon of magenta over the bits you don't want, or you can hide everything except the GRID and FLOORS sheets and use the floor to trim all the grid lines.

Love the map!

You can draw your own quite easily in any bitmap app. GIMP and Krita are free. I use Affinity Photo and Designer myself, rather than paying rental for PS.

Importing them and making your own symbol catalogues is really easy. Remy has done a series of videos covering this here:

If its a plain, its a plain. Don't be afraid to map it as it is. There are plenty of symbol assets in this style to add points of interest across that vast plain. Spend some time looking through the symbols and picking out things you could add to a plain. Maybe paste them somewhere out of the way in the ocean or outside the map so you don't forget what they were or where they were. It's easy enough just to move them into position later, or to delete them if you change your mind.

If you are having issues casting that cliff shadow using a line, where lines tend to cast that intermittent stripy shadow, the alternative is to make the line thicker, or to draw the shape of the shadow as a solid black polygon on a separate sheet, using the existing effect shadow as a guide. Then add a small blur effect, and a Blend Mode set to Multiply or overlay, with a low opacity - around 15% for multiply, but more for overlay.

I usually use at least 20% antialiasing, preferably 33% and sometimes higher.
