a magic? map
This was a whimsical post, @Loopysue , designed for fun. I'm working on the 'proper' map even as I type - more or less

resized drawing leaves original map area
Thanks @Loopysue - i'll sort things out tomorrow. Good morning/afternoon/evening/night (whichever applies to you!)

I don't mind you hijacking the thread!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets muddled by opacity, @Fersus . Transparency isn't quite as bad because if you can't see anything you have gone too far in whichever direction: I tend to put either a large or small number in to start with and adjust as needed!

WIP 1000th map competition - Bittern's Rest
yes it was, so how the blazes could it be hidden by something at sheet level 0 when the stream is at sheet level 12????
Just placed some small-scale symbols that landed on the Symbols sheet and created some Tolkien like monsters just by the Wall Shadow settings! I'm getting into the more weird side of the competition, but I won't run out of time.......

ruined walls
Thanks @Royal Scribe. I'm after walls specificaly (sorry about spelling, just surfacing after a very long sleep). I'm trying to create a modern-ish city which has a very old part complete with a small ancient wall. I don't know where in the world you are but I'm in the UK and many very old cities have the remnants of the old stone city walls merged with the modern houses etc. I'll look at Cities and Dungeons of Schley (never thought to look at Dungeons) as well as City Ruins.
EDIT SS5 doesn't have broken walls, just nice neat complete ones.

Erlan World map
Hi,
I'd like input regarding the screenshot below. I'm using the Erlan Worlds template, and I've just screenshot the tiny amount I've done and switched off the background so I can focus on the land.
Please could someone tell me how the Color Key works - or at least how to punch a hole through a sheet to reveal the sheet below works? I have achieved it once as a fluke, and being a fluke, I don't know which keys my wayward fingers touched and in what order.

Farveld - now Witan Island
that won't be a problem if I use the command TED and adjust the font size there.
I've been back and forward with this map but because I've got a very short story in mind, that's what has kept me pushing forward. I think that I've got the symbols more or less visually in proportion despite maybe not actually in true scale!
