Maybe this is the right crevice. Not sure which style i found it in now but searched for crevice in symbols. I filled it to a point with water. Added most and grass patch to cover up as much of the ends as I could though you can see that dark patch in the stream below. Tossed in a few more trees. Thinking bridge over the crevice and buildings are next. I would love to find some sort of building that is built into the back cliff face. Not so sure about the plateau peak in the bottom left does not seem to work with the style of the map, will probably replace it with more cliffs or banks.
So it is coming together. Not sure why the bridge looks the way it does.. when you zoom in it looks fine, I have tried repositioning them, several times. The towers and fortress I wish I could find a way to give them a more worn look. Maybe cover them with cliff shadow.. not sure. I still have a few things to do but the core is done. I may need to pause and work on interior floor plans since I might need them Saturday. Still need to figure out how to be able to add a cave entrance look on one of these cliffs and my little thatch roof near the orange arrow is suppose to be an elevator.. not sure if there is a crane like or pulley object I can use out there.
Very high resolution images are nice close up, but when you zoom out it's quite costly on redraw time. To make panning and zooming more efficient there are 4 different sizes or resolutions of each symbol available for CC to use (shown below). CC chooses whichever resolution is most appropriate for the zoom level that you are viewing the map at, which means that when you are zoomed out you could be looking at the lowest resolution of the four available and the bridge might be only 10 pixels wide in that moment. This means that a single pixel-worth of misalignment will appear to be 1/10 or so of the bridge width and quite noticeable - especially if they are arranged diagonally.
However, as soon as you zoom back in close enough to investigate what's going on you will most likely end up with the Very High resolution image, where the bridge is probably hundreds of pixels wide and any single pixel misalignment will be practically invisible compared to the relative width of the whole bridge in pixels at that resolution.
When you export the map to an image of average size for a battlemap you should find that if the misalignment disappears, or is so greatly minimised as to be unnoticeable, owing to the fact that antialiasing can be used during export.
Try an export and check the resulting image. If you can still see the step you might need to increase the antialiasing of the export, which you can do if you click the Options button in the Save as... dialog once you have decided which of the bitmap exports you want to use.
Just thought I would share it is coming along. I did try apply some cracks to the bridge but could not get the layering right for them to show will try that another time. Working on filling in grass and dirt textures up top and also want to find a way to add moss or something to the buildings. Anyways thanks for all the help I gotten. Will stick this in my gallery when it is complete.
If you want a top-down view rather than an isometric view, perhaps the best option for cliffs is the Sue series of cliffs, which are brown and gray in color.
Question when i select fill tools like this and draw my circle I think I am forgetting a step because all I end up with is the background color and not the tree fill.
Good choice for sure Ricko I saw it when I was poking around for something else. But I was looking more for a top down of the crevice vs the cliffs..though I imagine I could use those top down cliffs and then fill in with water or blackness. I ended up finding a crevice that works a little better for me but next time I will try Sue's cliffs.
I think it is done. I do wish I had a way of making little cave entrances on these cave walls. If anyone has an idea for that or monster nests that look a little less like bird nests I would love to hear it.

Not that I am going to go replace cliffs but I found some interesting ones on City on a rock.

It looks to be advancing nicely.

ah did not know that thanks. I mean I could tell that resolution changed but I did not understand why.

This bridge also has a "broken pieces" version, though that might be too cracked for your purposes.

Aye saw those but just wanted cracks to highlight the bridge is a trap and will collapse when walked on.

Almost done even without the fill style. Just need to think through the lower left as it is also Wyvern nests.
