Has anyone installed FT3+ on Windows for ARM? Any experience with this, good or bad?

I'm having trouble installing the latest version of FT3+ on a new Windows 11 ARM computer. Everything in CC3+ installs and runs perfectly. I get this error message with FT3+:

I suspect it's just a problem with the installer. There's a known issue with InstallAware. Is it possible to get a different installer for FT3? Otherwise, are the registry keys known to manually set instead of the installer?

    Thanks.

FT3+ should be able to create its registry keys if you can get the installed configuration over to another machine. The big thing is the "@.ini" file in its Program Files area that needs to be set correctly (to point to the ProgramData area where all of the content goes). I say "should" because I've never tried it and don't have an ARM machine to test with.

    That worked perfectly. Thank you!

Somewhere in the past, (maybe a year ago? I didn't search the archives) I asked the same question. Ralf posted a revised installer but that didn't work either and the thread died when I reported the failure. FT3 works fine on my ARM installation, but FT3+ fails with the error shown above.

@jslayton or @KertDawg , I don't understand the solution above. Is there a step-by-step solution? how to set the "@.ini" file? I'm reasonably computer proficient, but I'm not following the solution.

    Thanks,

    Jim

I'll see if I can write something from memory, but here's a quick summary.

    1. Install FT3+ somewhere else on an amd64 Windows computer.

    2. Copy the FT3 folder from that machine to the arm machine in its Program Files (x86) folder. The source machine may have it in program files or program files x86. I forget.

    3. There may be an FT3 folder in C:\ProgramData on the amd64 machine. If there is, then copy that, too. I forget.

    4. In the program files x86 FT3 folder on the arm machine, there's an ini file. Open that in notepad and make sure it points to the programdata FT3 folder.

    5. Run FT3+ and enjoy it.
