Felt inspired by @Ricko Hasche . This map is a bit more plain than his temple map, but I wanted the ambush on my characters to take place inside the temple. 😇
This map is loosely based on the image of the temple on the Karing town map from the Splittermond Witch Queen campaign.
I Created the three faced goddess-statue using assets from Forgotten Adventures.
The rest is Dungeons and Cities of Schley.
Gritless version - in case someone might ask: 😉
Larger versions are in my gallery.
Have a great Friday.

Nice map, and awesome work on the statue :)
Forgotten Adventures have a LOT of nice stuffs to floor plans
I typically use multiple TERRAIN overlays on floors whether they be dirt, grass, bricks, rocks, etc.
I just select a color similar to some other bitmap fill from TERRAIN to, on the one hand, break with the visual repetition of the Bitmap on a large scale, as well... for example in the wood of the inn - where a lighter TERRAIN (in this case I think it was earth or mud) which shows - in the most traveled places the effect of wear and tear. I have even used some Sheets (created) including on top of SYMBOLS.
For these effects, I normally use EDGE FADE INNER between 40 to 90% and with a lot of Edge Width proportional to the size of the map.
Here an Example
Cheers
Thanks a lot, Ricko.
I've applied this a little bit.
The effect is very subtle, but it helps break up the monotomy of terrain (and shows where most people trot over the dirt/grass).
Will definitely use this more on future maps.
The effect can be subtle or not, depending on your taste and needs.
What I use to control this situation is the transparency % and the Edge Width that i select.
I just dug out that box as well this weekend.
