Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
Really do love the MS style and these look amazing. Must have taken an age to draw them from all four angles!
Cannot wait.

That's why he gets paid the big bucks!
lol, worth every penny in my opinion. :)
100% agree...
I think I must be the outlier. I am not a fan of the MS color style. The color choice and artistic style reminds me too much of an illustrated children's book or maybe state of the art computer imagery from 2000. I think there are so many better looking styles produced in the annuals. That just usually have fewer symbol options.
I requested to be able to do a map style like this in the past, so I am glad they are doing it. I also get that this probably took a lot of time to do so it would make more sense as a symbol set and since MS is the default style they had to do it. But I think if @Loopysue could have done a style from scratch for this, it would like so much better to me.
I am just hoping that the style set has a B&W option. I do like the MS B&W so if that is an option for the isometric city then I will pick it up.
I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this one, but not because of it's "Schleyness", but because it's an isometric city style.
I like the "Top down Mike Schley City" and Mike Schley Dungeon styles, but I don't really fancy isometric styles (yet).
Agree with @JulianDracos that black and white options add quite a bit of versatility to the Mike Schley styles.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to what our esteemed fellow forumites will do with the new isometric style. :)
I like the Mike Schley dungeon style and the city style is growing on me but not a fan of the overland style. Even though I may never use this style for a project I will buy it for two reasons.
1) Never say never it may actually get used in a future project.
2) To support Profantasy and if sales are good it should encourage them to add additional symbol sets in other styles and hopefully in a more modern / SciFi setting.

Have you thought about that every colourful map and every colourful symbol can be easily turned into a B&W, a less colourful or more colourful version inside CC3+ by using sheet effects?
This map ships with the Symbol Set 5 as an example. The "original" colour is presented in the second stripe to the left. The leftmost stripe is less colourful, the widest has more colours and contrast. To the right there are examples of a B&W, light and dark gray and the rightmost one is sepia. All these effects are achieved by using the RGB Matrix Process effect to the whole drawing. The second stripe on the right though has applied this effect to separate sheets so that you get a grayscale map with some colourful elements to e.g. emphasize these.
@WeathermanSweden That is grayscale and not the B&W I was referring to. By B&W I mean just black and white. MS has a specific one. I think it is called inks. That is what I was hoping for.
Some styles can look good in grayscale. I am not sure if MS color is one of them or not. The hand drawn ink looks works well because it looks similar to someone drawing ink maps by hand. Just turning a color image that has some of that squiggly lines into grayscale doesn't address all of the issues I have with the MS color. Part of it is the color, but part of it is how it is drawn. So would I like MS better in gray? Maybe, but without an the ink option I doubt I will get it.
With that said, I do like how you used some color symbols with some gray. I know some movies did that and this is certainly something I will play around with in maps.
As I said on the blog post - Mike's artwork on this set is beautiful. It was a real pleasure to do my bit of the backstage work on this, but very difficult keeping it under my hat!
I don't have this symbol set. I guess I'll have to look at getting it.
It's only just been announced, Jim. I don't think it's been published just yet, but the announcement shows that it won't be long now.
Thanks. I would have to wait for next paycheck anyway.
Are there going to be any more images.
I have only seen a handful and not enough to go off of yet.
There is a live stream here if you want to see more of it than in an image.
Here are also a couple of extracts from the extra example maps I made.
You will find other examples of the style already present on the forum, and if you have your newsletter option ticked on your account page you should by now have received your early uptake offer voucher. If this didn't happen for you please contact Tech Support.
Also notes that there are line art versions of all the color art. Additionally, they it it built in to change to gray scale, sepia, etc from an effects menu if you want.
Thank you the video was very much appreciated.
You're welcome, Don :)
Downloaded and installed. Maybe later I can make such a map.
My idea is to combine SS6 and the CA66 iso symbols. Make a town above a dungeon.
