Large Map of Arda

Has anyone tried to do anything with the large Iron Crown Enterprises map of Arda (Middle Earth)
Comments
Yes, I have, especially as I have all the smaller divisions that were made available eons ago. However, I only started on it then left it, as I was only very much apprentice (or even just novice) level at that point - not even the first issue of the first annual has come out. But the Pete Fenlon style (Annual 2, issue 1) may change that whenever I catch up with all the mapping projects i have.
hi
something like this?
There is a version for the northwest, but i'm having an issue with the file for some reason.
if i sort it, i'll post it
update i've found the issue with the map and added it to the post.
thank you
Yay whit2468!

the NW files are defeating me at the moment. I can only produce a low res version. Any higher and cc3plus crashes.
So this is unfortunately the best quality i can do at the moment.
note that the the shape of the NW doesn't match, the original continent map. I've redrawn it, to match the shape shown on later b/w maps in ICE products.
I have a lot of small regional png's with a little detail on them. Here is one just made into Pete Fenlon style map (Annual issue 13).
First the little map:
Now my Fenlon version - admittedly a rough and ready version, with the blurb that came with the regional map.
Here is the Fenlon map with the location of the smaller map.
I don't have a scale - can anyone illuminate me? @whit2468
@Quenten - The scale bar on the Pete Fenlon map is 600 long (each larger red or white division is 100), I'm guessing miles, judging by this zoomable higher-res version. I don't have the actual map or RPG materials though to definitely confirm.
heres the full map, finally finished after years of languishing on my hard drive.
Wyvern is right about the scale of the original map. if you have the grided version, the grids are sized 200x200 miles.
Added some trade routes to the map.
This is a timely thread for me. I have been looking at Middle Earth maps recently and thinking of making one. All of the reference maps have only been for the west section. This is the first time I have seen the entire continent. Makes me wonder if I should go big or stick with the west only.
some more maps based of the arda map
Are you using "Majour" here because it's an obsolete, thus archaic, form of "major", or is it actually a typo?
I'm looking for either a map (based on ICE's Arda) showing were important resources can be found, or a list of resources and where they are found so that I can create my own map. Water is already present, of course, and locations of lumber, but I want to be able to see things like iron, stone, food staples, and so forth, as well as a few luxury resources like pipeweed. I've found a map for a Civilization mod showing were some in-game resources are found, but this is limited to the northwest. I could do this on my own, but it seems like this is something others before me would have put thought and effort into, and likely to a higher standard than I could muster, but nevertheless I haven't encountered quite what I'm looking for.
This would be for gaming purposes; so that I would better be able to describe the economics and industry of various locations and to have an idea of what sorts of goods would be transported along trade routes. I'm specifically interested in applying this to the mid-Third Age - MERP's usual campaign start of 1640. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
