How to resize Roads (minor in this case)

Hey guys,
I'm working on a local map and I can't seem to figure out how to resize the minor roads so that I can get the dashes closer together. My map is about 20x20, so very tight in. I've set my symbols around .05 (for ref). I see options to change the width for the roads, but no idea how to make them scale to my intended map size
