I haven't purchased the product yet, as I want to be sure it will do what I'm looking for. Will DD3 create a grid map that can be used with the standard 1" base Dungeons and Dragons miniatures? I don't see any clear examples of anything like this.

Yup. That and overland campaign maps are primarily what I use CC3/DD3/CD3 for.

excellent, thanks goldgrae. I've tried a couple of others, only to find that the grids are just a bit too small for the official miniatures from DnD.

One of the nice things about the products is that you can change the scale it prints at. So since the miniatures seem to be getting larger and larger you could print out that 1 1/4" = 5', 1.1"= 5', etc...however you want it!
