As I considered the use I'd like to put it to I came up with this idea of a small village, spread along the river area. I also decided to make it a series of pools, small feeders and waterfalls along a series of cliff faces rather than the flat, swampy watershed it began as. This is what I've got so far.
I started with the Ryecroft Town Annual, but decided to use the Watercolour Annual technique for the cliffs rather than the cliff symbols in Ryecroft. For the waterfalls I tried adapting the cliff technique and adding in some cloud symbols from the Alyssa Faden catalogue for the spray.
