Sheets not Deleting

For some reason I cannot delete sheets from my map, but I can add/REname, hide, reorder, Show all, and Hide all them. This doesn't seem to do any harm, but I like to delete sheet as I determine I have no use for them, for instance Contour Sheets since I make my own named as CONTOURS 100m and so on. Nothing appears amis on the Layers display.

Does noting at all happen when you try to delete them, or do they get apparently deleted, but just come back? Also, do the same thing happen if you create a new sheet, and then delete that?

It looks to me as if nothing at all happens.

I created a new sheet and immediately tried to delete it and nothing happened.

Hmm, that's odd. Does it happen on all maps, or just a particular one?

Loaded three other maps, and the delete operation failed on all of them.

Then I closed and restarted CC3 and LO! It worked again.

While gratified, I sort of hate it when things like that fix problems. Who knows what is lurking in the depths of the code?

There is a small . at I think the lower left corner of each sheet.

Hide all of the sheets you want to keep, then zoom waaaaay out. Era the area that includes the map, the sheet should then be gone.

I don't see that dot, even when I zoom way in. However, closing and restarting the CC3 fixed the problem.

The dot Jim is referring to is on the TEMPLATE layer, whichever sheet it is, and its a point - a single node. It works like an anchor so that the sheet doesn't vanish when you next open the map.

However, you shouldn't need to delete that point to delete the sheet.

A few times, I would say less then 5, I have had to erase the small dot. I zoom way out and erase a square larger than the original map. That gets rid of it.

All other times when I delete the sheet in the sheet popup, it is gone.

Are you refreshing the map with ctrl-r after deleting ?

I didn't try ctrl-r, but I did push apply, close, and reopen. Apply, OK, and reopen.
