This is the first city map I have made where I based it off of a book called Spectacular Settlements from Nord Games. All of the marked buildings with the exception of one comes directly from the settlement generation process laid out in that book. I am going to finish the key once I create names for all of the establishments. This town is basically going to be Deadwood for Sword and Sorcery Fantasy. I used the City Template Bitmap A Style with CSUAC and Dundjinni Archives Fill Styles. The building symbols are the Slate roof symbols from the Medieval Buildings folder.
I set the scaling on the background and background city to 100x80 and the map is 800x650 in size without the extra borders for the text. Any comments or tips are welcome. Thanks for checking it out?

(Am I allowed to say that these days?)
I have a suggestion to make that I don't want you to take the wrong way.
How about making all the rectangles about half that line width and enlarging the map so that it is the size of the first black rectangle around it - leaving it framed by just one black rectangle outside the one that its in? There are an awful lot of black rectangles in this space.
Doing that would get rid of one of the rectangles at least, and make the map substantially larger. It will fill more of the available space and look even better.
But don't take my word as gospel of any kind. Its just a suggestion

By the way WorldAnvil provides an excellent way to display these maps. I think some type of zoomify effect is built into their software. I saved this map at the actual map size I used with the .fcw and it displays equally well at different levels of zoom. It won't start getting blurry unless you force WorldAnvil to allow closer zooming. I think the WA platform is a fantastic way to show off maps.
