Oh I really like this one. I think it's my favourite so far. There's just something about it that says it could easily be a map of a real place. Not sure what, but it works.
Yes. blocks this time. This one was traced from an old map. I have come to conclusion with the traced maps that I can always come back and do the individual buildings when my players next visit. Also, I have a couple of very large cities to trace and if I start doing building now I will never start those!
I'm trying to decide on building numbering... red or black.
Mateus - If you are interested in being able to produce something similar, these maps are based on the January issue of this year's Cartographer's Annual. Enderrin has added quite a lot of his own style to the basic CA style, so his maps are beginning to develop a style all of their own.
First off I think what you are doing with this annual is awesome. I have questions if you would be willing to answer. What scaling are you using on your grass? And are you importing from Watabou with these or are these all within ProFantasy? Have you tried importing from Watabou with the block function on or did you manually draw all of the buildings? If so you did a great job. Those shapes are perfect.

Not sure what you mean by grass scaling. If you mean what scaling I use when I import the city file and then resize the grass background then that is x400. I did try using the block export function but the individual buildings look so good. I decided to use buildings when importing Wetabou files and drawing blocks when tracing old maps. It bothers me that I have two standards. Maybe one day I will go back and replace the blocks with buildings... maybe the next time my players visit that city

I like the way you used your cliff technique to raise the ruined castle up on a defendable ridge.
@Enderrin That is exceptional. I love the idea of the triangle polygons to do the shading, very, very clever. Well bloody done!
Looking great.
The areas around the city do look a bit empty though.
Its desert, scrubland and the occasional goat herder. ?
I looked at what Remy said, and then at the map, and how you describe it is what I saw, so it's a good representation :)
