Use Gplates with FT3?

Has anyone used Gplates (gplates.org) with FT3? I haven't been able to find anyone talking about this on the interwebs.
For world building purposes, it seems like perhaps they both end up at the same place by different approaches? I know it has been said that FT3 doesn't use plate tectonics and that's something that was on the wishlist.

At the present moment in time FT3 doesn't do plate tectonics. Nor does it do ocean currents or wind patterns, but these last two things are pretty easy to do by hand, and the default climate can be modified using painting tools.
I have no idea if there are any common file types that could facilitate transfer between Gplates and FT3. You're best bet is to check the export and import file types available for both to see if there is a match.
I've been experimenting with using Rock3, Wilbur, and FT3+. Run the tectonic simulation in Rock3, export the 4 channel png file. Open in GIMP and select only the red channel, covert that to grayscale, export as an 8bit PNG. Open that in Wilbur, tweak the span to match the terrain output png from Rock3, export from Wilbur as an MDR and import into FT3+. In FT3+ you'll need to burn into surface and adjust the water level somewhat to match the original picture output from Rock3 again.
I've not yet done any erosion via FT3+ or Wilbur, but am starting to mess with the erosion function on Rock3.
So far I really like how the worlds look in FT3+ and am continuing to experiment with it.
One thing I really like from Rock3 is the magma view...but you can only see it while it is running the simulation. Once that is done, the magma view is not accessible, as far as I know.
Here is a different world after importing into FT3+ and finding rivers.
Yet another world taken through ODWB Wilbur process. I'll have to reduce the resolution (currently 22000) to export it to CC3+, otherwise artifacts in the exported file.
