I'm not sure if this is possible but I would love to see an EXTEND command added to CC3+. Extend is the opposite of trim so it would extend a line or path to a selected point or to an intersection, selected entity, or the drawing border.
(I've needed to use another CAD package recently and found myself using this command a lot for what I was working on. I now miss it in CC3+.)

I discovered it by accident when I was working on the floorplans for Beaumaris Castle.
Ha! I just tried it. You're right. Why did I not know this? What else can CC3+ do that I don't know about. LOL
Thanks Sue and Remy. My wish has been granted. This is why I love the software and the forums.
Personally, I peruse the available documentation at regular intervals. Even though I wrote the thing, I still keep stumbling over things I have completely forgotten about.
Did you know there is a command available to increment numbers embedded in an existing text entity in the map? [TINC]
My wish is that all wishes are as easy to grant as this one.
Trim Command

You'll notice that if you remove parts of a smooth path, it is only trimmed visually, but all the nodes are still kept, even those in removed parts of the line, this is the only way to keep the shape intact (For straight paths, nodes are simply removed as you would expect)
For smooth paths, there are two options I can think of right now:
- Use node editing tools to add/move nodes, and then use trim to cut off any part of the line extending beyond the desired location
- Turn it into a straight path, trim it, then turn it back to a smooth path.
Turn on Ortho if I'm extending a straight line, and grab the end of it and pull, so to speak. Making sure snap is off.
