Cities of Schley example map

So, Cities of Schley. I know many of you are eager for it, so here's the example map I'm currently working on. What do you think? Comments and criticism welcome.

The focus is on a good-looking map - I'll leave the realistic city building to you guys when it's in your hands.

What would you do text-wise? Elaborate font or something simple and clear?

I don't think a too elaborate font would work. How about something like Vinque which is sort of "middle ages simple" if that makes sense.

I have only one criticism, Ralf... well two actually.

First you are being a tease by showing such a low res image! LOL!

Second, I think the hobbit homes might need to be on a sheet with no effects?

Other than that - a gorgeous city, and I don't think any of us could do any better than that. We just want to have a play

Remy - I can't see anything there that I don't recognise, so I don't think there are any House houses there at all. It's a nice large set.

I like the walls; i see they´re symbols and not lines you draw. It has good and bad things but overall i like the design alot.

One thing i don´t like its the overall... lightning of hte city. Looks like a bit... humm not sure which words to say. A bit overall darker tone would improve the drawing. Nothing that cannot be chosen, though, usign PS for example.

You can darken the overall tone without bothering with PS, Medio. Just add a sheet on top of everything and a solid polygon of dark brown, blue or black and use a Blend Mode with it.

I rather like the pale tones myself - very 'Schley'

This is all symbols. I've just put together all the house and street setting and am working on an example including buildings made from the house tools.

When is it due for release? We are getting spoiled for cities, at last - Sue's oriental ones, her domes, her tudor perspective buildings, Par Lindstrom's city, Scott's Celtic buildings. Just wow.
