My dots disappear, do I have an issue with the sheet layers?

I place dots on my map and save it. When I reopen it they are not there. I am assuming that my sheet layers are not in the correct order. Can someone help me with this? It happens a lot.

Try hiding all the sheets and then showing them again one at a time from the top of the list down. They should be somewhere.

Ok I clicked H (Hide) on each layer, then clicked each one off, one at a time and didn't find them.

When I place a dashed line or a dot on the map, which layer is it?

it's not the layers you need to worry about, it's the sheets. The sheets determine where someone is placed. Unhide all of your layers, then go to the sheets, and hide all of those. Then start at the top, and unhide each sheet until you find your dots. That will tell you which sheet they are on. Then all you have to do, is move them to the sheet you want them on.

Ok, apparently S: Land is suppose to be on, I had a different setting in that location
