Looking for more mapping articles

Hi folks,
We are looking for more stuff to post on the blog in our series of guest articles. It could be about mapping your homebrew campaign, adding resources to CC3+, general mapping principles - basically anything mapping related. If you are interested in writing something up, let me know your idea, and we can talk about it. Whisper to me here, or send me an email to ralf@profantasy.com. If you don't want to write something yourself, feel free to add ideas and wishes in the thread below.
Here are some examples from the blog:
Celtic Village Symbol Set (by Scott David Aniolowski)
The ProFantasy Community Atlas Project in RealmWorks (by Josh Plunkett)
Creating Onion Domes with Shaded Polygons (by Sue Daniel)

Comments
- Colour, colour schemes, contrast, texture and relative scale - picking and or making a set of textures that work together (that could be a long one because colour theory is fascinating!)
- Making cloud symbols in GIMP (v2.8)
- Making waterfalls in GIMP (v2.8)
- Post processing the hill shading on a CC3 map in a bitmap editor (GIMP v2.8)
(I use GIMP v2.8 rather than GIMP v2.10 because it works better, and the files can be opened in other bitmap editors, unlike those of v2.10)
I'm a little busy right now, but I could probably do one or more of those in a month's time if anyone is interested.
Hí. I've been asked a few times about how I create the borders I use in my maps, and I think that would be a good topic for a short article. Most of the basics are taken from a piece in Pär Lindström blog here, but I think I can adapt both that part and the finishing touches I apply (texture reliefs, separate legends, watermark...) to do it in CC3+ without Photoshop or GIMP, at least a working version of it. Would that be okay?
That would be a great topic for an article!
Good then, I'll star working on it as soon as I finish my current map. I'll let you know how it goes, Ralf.
If you all are still looking for articles, I have a in CC3 technique for creating hills using shading and hue / saturation settings that I could write up.
Definitely! Send me your draft or any questions at ralf@profantasy.com.
