I especially look forward to the sea monsters - the Corbyn Catfish, the Mayfly Blather, the Boris Bloater and the Farage Folly for a start. I can even supply descriptions of the Dreaded great Southland terrors.
Jim - like the Andes? They are some of the most striking and the youngest mountain range on Earth, but even they are not as sharp and pointy as my fantasy mountains
Quenten - Ummmm. I think you might have to provide descriptions for most of those! I've never heard of them.
They are as sharp as that in New Zealand - almost like a knife there. So dreadfully upset you haven't any idea about those well known monsters - they inhabit the seas surrounding a little island between Europe and Erinn
Again - its a draft, so its not exactly finished all that well, but it serves its purpose as a test. I rather like the overall effect, and will probably keep this as one of the styles.

More like they just reached their final forms, before erosion sets in. I find it interesting and would love to use them on a map.
Then I don't know if you will really like the style I've settled on as the first set. It feels more rounded than before.
This is how I used to draw things at art college - 35 years ago. Now I'm really starting to enjoy the task because its more instinctive for me to draw like this, but it might not be to everyone's taste.
This is just a very tiny part of one mountain blown up so you can see it. The second image is zoomed out enough to show the Schley symbol I placed next to the mountain I'm working on - to give a better idea of the relative scale of things.

That's good then
I've taken a short break from them and done a few practice hills. They're pretty bad at the moment, but this is only the first 18 I've ever done.
