Yes, the 40 width just happened to be the width that was set on the one I picked for a beauty shot. I thought you might have copied the numbers over, which would have explained why it didn't seem to be working right.
You've got the effect working beautifully on the sheet with the sand texture on it. How about applying the same effect to the sheet with the shadow patch on it?
I think there might be a few too many Edge Fade Inner sheet effects around the place right now. The only one that needed it was the transparent dark patch of shadow in the middle, which had a rather sharp edge. I would take them off the floor sheets because the floor no longer reaches the walls.
I don't think you need the EFI effects on the sheets that have actual floors on them, because the actual floors are vanishing before they meet the walls.
Well, on floor2 there are two things. A sand floor piece and the 40 bmp. I'll ,ove the sand piece to another sheet.
Found out what was wrong with my car's coolant system. We bought a hose and clamps as a hose is leaking after several minutes of operating the engine. Fix that tomorrow. My relative thinks it will take an hour. We'll see.
I know all about how to mend a car. Unless you happen to have a complete garage with a lifting ramp and the whole works, you can guarantee that you will end up needing a particular tool you don't already have, and spend a day trying to track one down :P

One on the right is partially under the shadow on the Floors sheet, and the other is mostly under the shadow on the Floors2 sheet.
Floors sheet just has glow.
Floors2 sheet has Fade Edge Inner.
The floor cracks are on a sheet between those two sheets.
Here is the part with Edge Fade, Inner on both Floors and Floors2. The floor crack sheet doesn't have any effects.
I'll be working on my car's coolant system this afternoon. So when my relative gets here I'll stop working on this.
Well, I have:
Floors: Edge Fade Inner
Symbols flat: floor cracks
Floors2: Edge Fade Inner
Floors3: Edge Fade Inner
I'll work on it some more.
Yes, thats where it is located.
If it is, then maybe move it to a new sheet of its own and add an EFI sheet effect to it - to soften the edges of the shadow?
Then make sure all the actual floors reach the walls by removing all the other EFI effects, and that should be it - perfect

But good luck
Onward and upward !
It looks great, Jim
And even better news about the car. I hope it stays working for you.
And very fine they look, too
Posting this separately so comments will be separate.
The different floor colors are different type of floors, and slipperiness/walkability can change.
