Creating CC3 Map, Settings Off, Cant See symbols, Dots, etc. I Add

I seem to have the wrong boxes marked under Drawing Sheets and Effects and possibly Select Layer. I cannot get the map back on track where it shows everything I have drawn. Please help me figure out what boxes to check and what order they must be in for everything to show up on my map.

I don't think it has anything to do with the boxes checked. Is it a checkmark, or an 'H' symbol? If it is the 'H' symbol, then you need to click them again, because that means that those specific layers are Hidden, hence the H.

Basically uncheck the symbols if they have an H on them.

Also be aware of the sheet order, and what sheets you place your entities on. Sheets determine drawing order, what is on top of what, so if you draw something on for example the BACKGROUND sheet it will be hidden by the landmasses on your LAND sheet and so on.

Under the Select Layer Function, there are NO boxes with an "H" in them for Hide.

What order should my sheet order be?

That depends on the style and map type, but generally their names are self explanatory if you just think about it. For example, you want ROADS to appear on top of LAND and so on. Remember that the sheets are listed in the drawing order, meaning that the sheet at the bottom is the last sheets drawn, which again means that the entities on this sheet end up on top of everything.

To check the correct order for your map, just start a new map in the same style and look at the defaults there.

It does sound like you are putting it on a sheet that is behind something else. If you use the basic tools from the right toolbars, make sure you have set the current sheet to an appropriate one.
