Editing Contours (Land) on map imported from FT

I am new to CC3. I have completed the tutorial. I just imported a map from FT without incident. I am having trouble editing the landmass on the Contours (Land) sheet. In the tutorial map, I can select the edge of the landmass, make the node changes, and presto. In the imported map, I can edit the land outline in the Outline sheet, but I can't even select the land polygon with the node editing tools. I really want to add detail to the coastline but I am confused as to what I need to do to edit the landmass. I also want to add a small island. I tried adding it to the Contours (Land) sheet, but it shows up in the Land sheet.

Can anyone point me to instructions on how to proceed?

If you exported the map with the contours multipolied together (which allows for landlocked hollows to be kept intact), you won't be able to edit them.

You can either re-export and untick the multipoly option, or explode the ones on the existing map.

I find it easier to use the exported map as a png and guide imported into CC3/CC3+ than trying to work with the contours.

I have worked with the contours, but I don't remember precisely how I did that.

I do export as multipoly, then explode each contour when I want to work on them. It saves time and refresh time to do them 1 at a time
