Giving My Island Cliffs (Brand New User)
Yesterday I purchased the 'World Builder Bundle' and, though I'm (sorta) making time to look at YouTube tutorials and slowly learn, I gotta get this map down for my new campaign.
I'm creating a small, urban island (think Staten Island, Old Korvosa or Macau). This densely populated, island, city-district rises from some cliffs in the sea.
And I can't find out how to make the make the island edges into cliff-faces. I tried a thick, black glow, but that just didn't look right.
Please, how do I make my island rise up from the sea on cliffs?
Thanks,

Try adding a Lighted Bevel effect to it.
If you don't like the sharpness of the tops of the rather uniform cliffs this creates you can copy the land polygon onto another sheet just above the original one and use an Edge Fade Inner effect to reveal just the bottom of that bevel all the way around
