Put this off redo for too long of a time. And I don't want to startle anyone, but I'll be using effects as you can see. I know, the 3 torches' lights in the upper room shouldn't be casting shadows.
Looks comfy ? Particularly the entrance room ? Nice comfy chair in front of one of Shessar's fireplaces. A banquet table. Fresh water, etc.
it is all one big trap.
Oh, and the sub-domain is gone. So link removed.

Nice to see some effects in your map. Just a few simple effects can really enhance a map.
This version of Dwarf Home I'm making a sketch map of the side view so I can better track how far down it is to the next level, and make sure I don't lower a floor too far, nor raise a ceiling too high.
I used, in the past, a variable triangle to show my players the angle of descent for stairs and ramps. All stairs so far on this one.
Yes, the two blue-green passageways are slightly sunken and that is water. Nasty algae and moldy water. Two rooms and 1 passageway with cobblestones, but they are more gravel than anything else. They go crunch crunch when walked on. The checkerboards ? Well, I have had chess boards in my dungeons before, where characters had to cross it with standard chess moves, but these aren't anything but painted squares on a floor.
The spiral stairs lead up to level 1. Area C, room 21.
Do the stairs connect ? I haven't decided yet, maybe the characters have to dig, and hope the passageway doesn't collapse downward, or its a teleport across.
The two blue circles are fountains; sometimes one, both, or neither are magical. Nice brazier, why you could toast bread on it.
The big green crackling sphere symbol lists it as a teleport; however, this one sings 'I'm hungry, come on over ! Are you hungry ? I'm hungry to !'.
Psst, the walls are made of brick. Could there be room for just another brick in the wall ?
Gee... long time ago on this one.
Anyway, levels 3 and 4 are now on my site.
9 maps, level 3. There are links to all 4 levels on my site on this linked page.
level 4 part A. Level 4 has 10 maps.
my old level 5 has a castle on a rock pedestal... I'm going to keep that and maybe make it larger. Not sure when level 5 will be completed as I'm going over each of the maps. 147 for this level. Since I;'m changing them from 240' x 180' to 300' x 230' there will be fewer... and I might shrink the level as well. Or make it into 3 sections like my old level 4 which was in two parts. Characters had to go down to level 5 or up to lvel 3, to get to the other part of level 4.
I would post a link to the level 5 overall thumbnails page, but it isn't on the site yet for Old Crestar.
Old castle area: 240' x 180' new castle area, 300' x 240'
The old castle had sliding stone blocks. The red dashed arrows are the moving parts. Room numbers and measurements.
Not sure about the new one yet.
Funny to have the writing on its side - perhaps the map needs to be rotated 90 deg
It was a map just for me originally. I wanted the numbers to fit in each room.
A preliminary map for level 05. A different naming convention. 6 columns, not decided on rows yet.
Not going to post the entire level here, but I thought you might like to see the next two parts. CSUAC is where I got the ghostly furniture in the row 3 map.
Probably going to develop these three maps here, and do the rest at my computer and upload to my site.
Well, if I get fancy on one or two, I'll post them here.
Row 2 map. I've worked on it a bit.
1) two trolls, water, 5 skeletons, a torch on the wall
2) a dining area, stove, etc. with a barrier apparently keeping a bow and shield from attacking the diners.
3) store room, treasure
4) a failed defense area. Two opened chests, skeletons of the defenders.
5) two mummies guarding an empty chest, with a chest and two books behind one of the mummies.
6) skeleton at the bottom of a pit, no visible spikes.
7) empty of all but dust.
Well, I was looking at Dwarf Home level 3 to put it up on my Old Crestar sub-domain.
The maps are very bad, made using very bad scans of paper maps. All from 18 to 20 years ago.
After redoing 5 of the 96 maps... I decided to go back to a previous idea.
Instead of 240' x 180' maps, I would make fewer of 480' x 360' maps. I started on the first one earlier. A quarter of the maps, done correctly this time.
The above version 2 set of maps will be Dwarf Home on my Crestofastar sub-domain.
