Changing Map Style

If you created a map with a landmass you want to keep but decide you want to go with a different style. How do you move the landmass or parts of the map to a different style, is that even possible?

Create a new map in the desired style, use clipboard copy to copy the landmass from the old map and paste it into the new one, then use change like draw tool on it to change the style into a drawing tool from the new style.
