  Looking very good.
  Wish I had this annual about three years ago, when I did a campaign at sea, but I am sure I'll find plenty use for it now as well.

  You know, I'm just about to start my new D&D 4th Edition game...and the first villains are going to be....PIRATES. And then I see this.
  
  So. AWESOME.
  
  Can't wait to get my hands on it, frankly. Each month of the annual has proven more and more valuable. Still remains the best investment I've made for my games outside of the core game books, EVAR.

  You don't happen to have any nice catapult/ballista symbols that would fit on such a ship, do you? The cannons are great, but I have some campaigns without gunpowder.

  You have Source Maps: Castles, don't you? It contains a number of catapult and ballista symbols. With some edits or sheet effects they could fit the ship nicely.

  I dropped a few ballistas on the "symbol cannon" sheet, and they looked quite good without any work at all.

  This is great, although I would have liked to see a little more on how the sideviews were created. I did up maps for a couple of ships about a year and a half ago, but I've never been completely happy with them. I ended up using an odd mix of symbols that didn't always go together. I think I may go back to them and see if I can use some of the techniques that are demonstrated to improve my maps.
