Here is my final version of this desolate region. Map Notes underway, and will be submitted when Stromphe Dockside is finished (ie before 1 Jan). Please, I need your critical comments.
There's a dashed grey line crossing diagonally upwards from the lower left to upper right in about mid-map, easiest to see where it cuts across the land areas (including the foot of the eponymous Peak). While this may be simply an artefact of the image here, thought it best to flag-up in case it's something weird on the original CC3+ design (I've had problems like this with rivers in the past, certainly).
Thanks for those comments. i will fix. This is the great thing about posting the maps - they are always improved by eyes not the original mapper, who often gets tunnel vision (well, I do)
I have fixed a few things apart from overlapping mountains. Roads, a pilgrim's shrine, a Hermitage (for Dogtag particularly, but named for Joachim), a citadel guarding the road to Isendathing from those naughty Hobgobby's. This is IT! (he says hopefully)
Hadn't spotted it before, but there's a hint of "glass mountain syndrome" for the two peaks above the "Orcs of the Bloody Hand" label. I'm inclined to put that down to mist in the valley, however
Actually, I was meaning the pair of mountains immediately north of the tribe's name-label, not the hill (which I hadn't realised was problematic...), which still show see-through effects somewhat.
And there goes the mermaid siren again (sorry... ).
Comments
Speaking of mountains, part of the one near the top of the cove bleeds into the sea. One below it does, too, but by much less.
Is that a home or a village, nestled on those cliffs at the edge of the wastes? My interest is certainly piqued by this map!
