Saving only part of a map as png

This is probably easy, but I'm a bit stumped.

How can I save only part of my map as a png image?

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

There is an option in the Save As dialog to save as a "rectangular section PNG". when you select that you will be able to drag a selection box prior to the file being saved.
