Here is a typical downport, so far. 1000 pixels wide of a 1400 pixel map. No effects.

That's neat! Doesn't look like it needs much in the way of effects, maybe just something to make the rivers look a bit watercolory?
The vertical text is a nice touch.

That annual has effects that do that. But since my Win 10 computer is more a cheap laptop that looks like a desktop, I have to leave the effects off until last.

Definately needs more detail, like forests, roads, etc.

i have been thinking of tossing in a few things like Monks temples and Samurai quarters. This empire isn't all futuristic.

I am intrigued as to how such a society where you blend spaceships with medieval life would work. It sounds like a very interesting culture clash here.

I have GURPS Classic Japan and GURPS Classic Imperial Rome books in pdf.

Jalan will be Classic Japan with Traveller Classic and The Empire is Imperial Rome with Traveller Classic. I have the CT books to.

Most 'slaves' in both are robots. Instead of gladiatorial races in The Empire, it will be Car Wars.

I read many years ago a story about knights in armor who took over a starship that landed on their basically 1200s AD planet. Some of it seemed off to me, but it might work.

The real problem will be the Insectoid systems.
