Problems with Windows Installer?
Hello and thanks for reading my question. I apologize if this has been asked and answered before.
Last week I did a reformat of my hard drive, and when I try to re-install CC3 it goes through the entire installation process and then, at the end, gives me the following error: "The Windows Installation service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running WIndows in safe mode, or if the WIndows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance. Please check your settings and try again." I am not running Windows in Safe Mode.
Next, I went to the Microsoft site and downloaded the most recent available version of Windows Installer, but when I tried to run it, it said that a more recent version of the Installer was already in use in an installed Service Pack, which leaved me at a dead end.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried installing anything else that uses the windows installer? Did that install properly? I also assume you have tried rebooting your computer?
