Shessar's tip of the day: If you are having trouble with bitmap fills causing rivers to break up and disappear, try using a solid color in a similar hue instead. Solids do not cause the same problems on fine lines.
@Quenten: Thank you!:) I figured that the other city symbols wouldn't match with the perspective I chose for the mountains. Therefore I just used red circles and a slight bevel effect.:)
@Shessar: Thank you for your tip of the day. It solved the problem.
I also worked on the names and changed some of the names in order to point out cultural and linguistic differences. Further, I made roads in order to point out the relation between cities. But I decided against adding more sea routes than the one connecting my continent to Port Digby. It just got too messy along the coastline.
What would you guys like me to do next? Shall I add names for the smaller cities as well? Shall I add political borders?
Love this. No more names needed, but some guidance as to what language type the regions of your continent speak would help in naming features for detailed regions that anyone might want to do. I have a preference for political borders, or at least names of regions/nations.
This is a beautiful map! I really, really love the style you've come up with for it. It is perfect as is for a continental map and I wouldn't change anything.
I see a couple of places that I may develop in the future if they aren't claimed by then. I like that not every place is named, but left to the next layer of developers to add.
(Oh gods. With so many maps to be made, I'll never get any real life things done. Every map I see gets me started weaving stories and adventures around it) Gah! What have you stated Monsen!? )
THIS is beautiful. I just love it. I think i'd like to map an area on your map.....are you working on some cultural info for your land? I see it's not up on the community page yet and I am curious if perhaps there is somewhere i might work on perfecting my elven tree village (of course the elves in this map will not be man-hating female amazonian elves LOL)
@Quenten: I did add some remarks on the languages but I did not get to much into detail.
@Lorelei: Thank you Lorelei. I did not add to much on cultre but the Eldiar who live in the north of Berenur are quite close to nature. So there plenty of room for villages up in the majestic treetops of the Azin Rainforest.
Here's the new, slightly changed version of the map together with the map notes. I think I am done now. What versions of the map do I have to provide for the atlas? FCW and PNG?
What do you think about the map notes? Did I miss somethings? I'm not a native english speaker, therefore I hope they are halfway understandable.
I love all the history, culture and language notes, especially the use of 'sort of' elves and dwarfs, without them being actual elves and dwarfs (like my Davarin, Aeifa and Grim). There are a few spelling mistakes in the pdf - I suggest you go over it carefully before submitting it. I am willing to help if you need it. But boy, what a map and a culture. I am thoroughly impressed.
I'm not a big fan of the classic high fantasy schemata with it's stereotypical races. Therefore I try to avoid using the typical races. But I'm not completely immune to the stereotypes, which is why there are still "sort of elves and dwarfs".
I replaced the Map Notes with a revised version. I hope I didn't miss any spelling mistakes.

I couldn't help but adding a few names for special places. But there are still plenty left for the next layer of developers to add.
I'm currently writing the map notes, which takes longer than I thought. It contains a brief history of all the peoples who live on Berenur.

Thanks for contributing HadrianVI.
And thank you both for the compliment. It was my pleasure:)
