If I can offer only one observation, it would be that the dragon at Araiteuru seems a bit large, compared to the other symbols. But I suppose that could also be deliberate.
Amazing work. They really do add flavor to the map. *doffs cap*
Yes, the sea dragon and the octopus are larger than the icons and the compass rose is larger than the rest of the symbols. Each set is deliberately scaled differently.
I think you symbols are really very pretty, I only have one issue with them: They scare me too much! With all those symbols all over the place, I guess nobody sane in his mind would ever set sails to those Bloodlands!
I agree, but I had a lot of problems trying to do a lizardman without it. If I kept it the same scale, the figure was too small and it looked just like a lizard. When I made it big enough, it was too big compared to the others. As such, I had to create a "picture window" showing only part of the lizardman. The red circle was also used for the rose compass.
Charles, I photoshopped your symbol without any background, and here is the png, you could convert it to a symbol using symbol manager. You could even add the ocean background back in, without the red circle.
@Quenten: He is using the circle as an excuse to have the symbol "cut off". Without any border, he needs to depict the entire lizardman, which would be much larger than the cut-off section you see here. Without a border of some kind, that cut-off looks weird. Also note that since this is an Atlas map, it's best to avoid custom symbols. This is why he is drawing these as CC3+ entities int he first place.
The map is almost completed. I need to put in a couple of sea lanes. One to Kumarikandam and one is to Continent B. I have to get with him to find out what he is going to name the continent.

Thanks Gather,
What is real funny is that the symbols gives you pause, but the name "Bloodlands" don't - ha, ha! :-)

Amazing art Charles!

In needs the circle as Monsen explained.
It does look a lot better though with the fill.
