This may be of interest to people wanting large physical maps
I am selling some of my work on www.redbubble.com
I made a scarf for the first time today using "The Western City States of Jana" map.
It turns out that it only cost $29.17 if I wanted to buy it myself.
It is a 55" x 55" scarf and it looks great on the online image.
It could be an option for mappers that is easy to fold and put away.
The image file has to be at 5748 x 5748 pixels and a PNG file is recommended.
Again, this is an option for mappers to make their own large physical maps (Not for me to sell something).
I know that some people (like me) were struggling to get maps to print right.
Below is a image.
I hope that this idea helps. :-)

But I'm still trying to wrap my head around the notion of a 4½-foot-square scarf.
I am pretty sure that it would go around you a couple of times - Ha, ha! :-)
Cloth maps are one of my most favorite things. In the Old Days(tm) the maps from Ultima (along with the black-red-white paper map in one of the editions of The Two Towers) are what helped spark my passion for maps and mapping. This looks great!
Personally, I would have liked to get a proper tapestry of my map. The heavy, woven ones, not simple print. I have one very similar to this (same map, but slightly different decorations and border) on my wall and it is beautiful. Of course, the resolution of a woven map is even lower.
But I would have liked to have my own world maps on a similar tapestry. I saw them, but they are not proper woven tapestries like the one I have (and in my image), theirs look like cheap printed cloth on the wall.
Here is an actual picture of mine btw, as it looks hanging on my wall.
We have one of a scene from the Bayeux tapestry hanging in our living room.
Yep. I still have my cloth map from Ultima IX. It is one of my treasures that my sons will surely fight over when I am gone. Heheh.
It sounds like your sons have an awesome mom
