You've done the cliffs far better than mine in Merelan City!
I can probably fit the names on the map, but for my players, they only know these locations are "key" locations by the numbers, not what each actual place is yet. They will eventually receive the "key" to the village once they've arrived there and have come to know those locations....then they will have it for reference for future visits
And....No. 9 is a wreck...it is meant to be swamped by surf

Lorelei: Well, I'm GM, player and sometime cartographer, model-maker, mini-painter, etc., so maybe that counts for something in terms of appreciation of your maps. I have to say though that the many handouts, tabletop layouts, etc., I've prepared over the decades, have been largely as unappreciated by my player groups (mostly mixed males and females) as you mentioned for your own efforts. Luckily, I've long prepared such things because I wanted to, and needed the details in my head before running things. Or that could all have been quite grim...
After first going insane.
And it's great fun.
