When I installed I selected the simple interface. Now, after watching the very helpful videos, I think I want to work from the full interface. The manual indicates that it is possible to switch from one to the other, but does not say how.

How?

I think you want to go into the View menu and check out Toolbars, which should let you pick out what additional toolbars you want to have displayed. I chose the full interface and have everything checked except Color Toolbar, Simple Toolbar, and Custom Icon Bar 3. Left and Right Toolbars point the appropriate direction, Status, File, and Symbol point up. And the other two (Scroll and Symbol Catalog) are just check marks.
