Hello to all

My query is this. I have a hand drawn map that I would like to transfer into my CC3 program. Is there a way to do this?

    Yes you can.

    Making it a png is easiest due to CC liking png's more than other graphical files'


    Start a new map.
    Go through the process of tempolates.

    Once you are set select
    Symbols
    Then Import PNG's
    I use browse to find the file.
    Select Absolute path. (it may work better if you move the file to CC but if it is temporary my version is ok)
    Then it will appear in the symbol catalogue collection with the green map icon button(I have tips turned off so I don't know the button name)

    Place you map in and use CTRL to scale it up to the size you want.

    I think there is a trace function but I just use polygon shapes to draw it by hand.

    While cobra mustang's method will work fine, it is simpler to just go to Draw -> insert file and select your image file instead of going through the Import PNGs step, as this is a bit more direct.

    No matter which method you use though, also make sure to make a dedicated sheet to put the image on, so you can move it up/down the sheet order as required while working on tracing it.
