Map size
I have produced a large map and wanted to display in on my website. The size I selected was about 10,000 x 10,000 pixels to get the detail and it was output in JPG. When I access the site (yes it was a long download time) it looked fine although I do have to scroll accross and down to see all the detail. However when I asked others to look at it, the map just displayed as a Red X in the top left corner despite the fact that they had much faster web connections. Is this a browser problem or perhaps a function of the PC spec used for viewing?
Eventually I used Fireworks to split it down into pieces (even Fireworks aborted a few times) but I'd prefer it if I didnt have too. Does anyone know if there is a JPG/PNG file size limit in a browser?
