If you click Edit/Preferences and then threaten to edit the Resource Library Location, you should get to see where they are being stored when they are downloaded. If you don't see any of these things (below) then maybe it really is a difference in version.
There is also the facility to move the directory via the software itself, so that it knows where you've put it and can retrieve them accordingly.
All I've done in the last hour is open a new blank file, add a single Synthesis node, gone to edit it, and then worked my way right through the library clicking each pre-set individually and allowing it to download automatically.
As you can see, what I'm getting is the preview image and a high res JPEG. I don't know whether the area selections are downloaded as well, but it would make sense that this information would be stored somewhere in the data directory, just not as obviously as the images themselves.
I also just disconnected myself from the internet briefly and clicked on a few presets I'd already downloaded. They work fine, so I must be right about the area selections being stored in the data folders someplace, or they wouldn't work
If you need to download the newest version it can be found here:
This was my mistake. I reformatted my system when I installed Windows10 and never set up my preferences again when I reinstalled the software. Like a dum-dum I also failed to back up the Spiral Graphics folder before reformatting so it looks like I'll be downloading (and backing up) a lot of images today. I neve realized that I was saving them anywhere.
Since my knee surgery, I can only sit in a chair with my knee bent for short periods at a time. I can walk fine now, just not sit for long periods.
I'm stretched out on the sofa with my laptop balanced on my lap right now. It gets quite warm on my legs. It's also quite impossible to draw anything with the touchpad. This will give me something to do. LOL!
Issues 67 and 70 contain the HighSpace bitmap textures.
As for hot laptops, I use a nice thick plastic cutting board between myself and the laptop. I don't see a brand name opn it, but its a quarter-inch thick and doesn't flex at all.
Veering around in crazy circles around the main topic is all part of the fun (and makes it more interesting to read). I'm just happy to have found another Genetica user to occasionally swap notes with
I hope you got all your library files. It took me over 2 hours to download the whole lot. I never knew there were quite so many fabric and material source files!!!
Some of you are probably already aware of this source, but you can pick up high res free textures from the Genetica website itself. Believe me - some of them are just downright gorgeous, and... they're royalty free! You have to download the free viewer to be able to render them out to JPG or PNG, of course because they are the same Genetica source files that Shessar and I were discussing earlier in the thread.
I don't' know what its like to use the free viewer because I purchased the paid for version of the software, but the textures (IMHO) are too gorgeous to miss out on.
Actually, you don't even need the free viewer (unless you need them in a higher resolution), they are all available as 512x512 jpg's. I just noticed they had a collection of medieval doors there too, should be able to use those with perspectives 3.

Thanks again. You are the best!
Since I'm only about half way done with the downloading on a relatively slow link, I've only got one thing to say now....
RACE YOU!!!! LOL!

I tend to use one of those tray things with a bean cushion on the back - but there's not much room for the mouse on one of those!
Here's to hoping that you will be able to sit comfortably before too long... though you will probably miss the nice laptop-warmed lap!

**looks at the big white plastic cutting board sitting on the kitchen counter** Brilliant idea! Just wonderfully brilliant! Thanks!
Sorry for the discussion in the middle of your sharing thread Sue, but thanks again for your help.
Drop round any time.
