Source Maps: Castles

Hello

I have previously purchased Source Maps: Castles! Recently I had to re-install CC3 and decided to simply run CC3 pro. The Source Maps: Castles! download only has an option for CC3 and not CC3 pro. I am intending to draw some new castles but don't want to install this in the event it messes with my current setup (I have DD and CD addons).

What are people doing to build castles? Have people installed the Castle addon or is there another method?

The Source Maps series is not yet compatible with CC3+. You'll need to have CC3 installed to use it. Note that you can have both CC3 and CC3+ installed side by side.

Sorry to butt in on your thread Judokas, but your question prompted a very similar one of my own...

I haven't got the Castles source maps (yet), but if I did, and I created a map from one of them in CC3, would it then be possible to open the saved file in CC3+ and carry on working on it there?

Depends what you mean by carry on working. The drawing would load just fine, since SM:C only uses vector artwork, but you wouldn't have the tools and symbols and hatch fill styles provided by SM:C at the ready in CC3+. And unless you own Per3, you wouldn't be able to add isometric shapes either.

Is there any advantage to having both CC3 and CC3+ installed with all the add-ons? I downloaded and saved everything but only installed cc3+, CD, DD and Fractal Terrain

The only advantage is if you have add-ons which are unsupported in CC3+. (Like the source maps series or the older annuals)
