Map Projection

I just saw this article about a new map projection that claims to be more accurate. http://www.spoon-tamago.com/2016/10/28/hajime-narukawa-authagraph/

I was curious what everyone here thought about it and if it's possible it might be added in a future version of fractal terrains

I guess I missed the part about it being "more accurate". It's a nice novelty map inspired by Fuller's Dymaxion map that has the interesting feature that it can be tiled. Other than being a novelty map, I don't see where it offers much in the way of utility. It is very unlikely to be included in Fractal Terrains for the same basic reason that Fuller's Dymaxion projection won't be: it only works on Earth (that is, it will split continents and oceans if applied to a different set of coastlines). There is also a question of copyright, of course.
