Problem with CD3+ roofs

I could have sworn that I saw this before, but couldn't find it. The roof tiles on my cd3 roofs are going backwards... Attached is a screen shot.

It's not a major problem, but is a little annoying. Any clues to fix?

This was caused due to a necessary change to the shading system. Issue the FLIPSHADING to fix it. If every house tool house you draw have this problem, don't issue FLIPSHADING until you are done drawing, or you will have some wrong and some right houses. Note that you can repeat this command to flip back and forth.

Does FLIPSHADING automatically apply to all entities without prompting for a selection?

If by all entities you mean all roof entities made by the random street tool ... it's supposed to do that. I've encountered no exceptions.

To be precise, it applies to all shaded polygons in the map, not just house roofs (although that is the most common use of it)

However, it does not apply to roofs of houses that are symbols.

True, as they are technically not shaded polygons. That point is probably not obvious to everyone though (nor is it meant to be), since these two features are designed to compliment each other for different types of entities.
