Weird Crash Issue for CC3+, now it won't start!

I was using CD3 in CC3+ and was having an issue with layer effects not showing up. I saved my work, closed the program, and tried to restart it, but CC3+ wouldn't open. I've restarted my computer, reinstalled the latest update, and it still won't open. I've never had this issue before (crashing, yes).
Anybody have anything similar happen? Any suggestions? I'd rather not uninstall and reinstall everything, saving that as a last resort.

Have you tried double clicking a different FCW file to see if you can get CC3+ to open that way?

I have. I tried the actual map file I was working on, but same issue. It simply wouldn't open.

Can you try a different file - one that worked ok - not the one you were working on when it all went wrong?

Yeah, just tried that with literally every map file I have (and there are many...)
Thinking I might need to just do a repair install, not of the update, but the initial program, and see what happens.

You could try that, yes. Other than that I'm at a loss.

Don't want to alarm you, but I had something similar happen to me just over a month ago, and I ended up having to do a reinstall.

Maybe a repair will work for you

Hmm, thanks, looks like a possibility. I'm doing a repair install of the original setup file right now and if that doesn't work, I'll try to overwrite those xmls before a full reinstall.
